The late Mary Drislan Madden resided in Charleston, SC, with her devoted husband, Jim, the love of her life for 35 years. Her love and unwavering faith in the Lord is her life’s foundation and strength. Mary’s educational accomplishments as an RN (Registered Nurse) work well alongside her compassionate nature as a caregiver for her aging parents, who have since graduated in Him.

As a mother, she raised and homeschooled her daughter for all 12 grades, instilling the same passion for Him, His ways, and His values. It was with great joy that she witnessed her graduate from college with summa cum laude honors with a bachelor’s degree. She was a sibling of three: two sisters and a brother. Mary grew up in a military environment in the 1960s and 1970s. Those family dynamics helped form many of her early values and perspectives of the family.

Throughout most of her adult life, she struggled with being overweight, along with the health issues that followed. After Contracting COVID-19 in 2020 and again in 2022, her heart and lungs were extensively damaged. The many physical limitations that she faced did not dampen her spirit. Her attitude was ALWAYS POSITIVE! He was her strength and her foundation in EVERYTHING. Through these final trials, she gained a NEW PERSPECTIVE of “letting go and letting God!” When He asked her to” write a book,” she unhesitatingly answered His call!
